Today, I’m releasing New Girl into the world — a song for every outsider, every first-day heart racing, every moment you’ve walked into a room and felt the weight of every stare.
💜 Why I Wrote It
We’ve all been “the new one” at some point. A new school, a new city, a new circle of friends, a new love. And with it comes the same questions: Do I blend in? Do I stand out? Do I pretend? Or do I stay true?
When I wrote New Girl, I wanted to capture that moment of uncertainty — and then flip it into power. Because being new isn’t weakness. It’s possibility. It’s freedom. It’s the chance to do things your way.
🎶 The Sound
This track is pop with an electro-pop / hyperpop edge — playful, bold, and unapologetic. The chant-style intro whispers you in, the chorus bursts open with color and energy, and the bridge declares the truth I needed to hear myself:
“I’m not a follower, I’m the thrill
I’m not your echo, I’m the beat”
It’s glitter and grit at the same time. A reminder that even if you stumble, you don’t fall.
🌍 The Message
New Girl is for everyone who’s ever posted something and gotten silence back. For everyone who’s ever tried to dress, talk, or move like someone else just to belong. For everyone who’s ever been laughed at, ignored, or underestimated.
It’s a love letter to self-confidence. To weirdness. To starting over and still shining.
Because the truth is: we don’t need to play by anyone’s rules.
We don’t need to blend in to belong.
