Why I Had to Write the Song “Incel Boy”

Music has always been my way of turning pain into power. Every song I’ve written carries a piece of my story, but Incel Boy is different. It’s not just my story — it’s our story. It’s the story of women everywhere who have learned that rejection can be dangerous, that saying “no” sometimes means gambling with your own safety.

I wrote Incel Boy because I’m tired of being told to stay quiet, to laugh it off, to ignore the threats and the violence lurking underneath men’s fragile egos. I’m tired of walking home with my keys between my fingers. I’m tired of women being blamed for “provoking” the very violence that kills us.

🔥 The Song

Incel Boy is a club track — sharp beats, whispered tension, and an anthemic chorus meant to be screamed back at the world. The lyrics are biting, raw, and unapologetic.

It starts with a whisper — like the way harassment begins, subtle, easy to brush off — and then it builds. Verse by verse, the mask slips: the podcasts, the Reddit threads, the entitlement, the violence that hides behind words like “alpha” and “high-value.”

The chorus is the truth I couldn’t stay silent about:

Don’t femicide me ‘cause I said no
I ain’t your story, I run my show

Those lines came from the pit of my stomach. They’re not metaphor. They’re survival.

💔 Why Now

Femicide is not just a word. It’s a reality. Every day, women are murdered for saying no, for leaving, for daring to exist outside the control of men who see us as objects.

I’ve lived through my own version of this fear. I’ve felt the cold hands of control, the silencing, the way violence can be dressed up as love. Writing this song was not easy. It cut deep. But it was necessary.

Because if music can make people dance, it can also make them stop and think.

✨ Who It’s For

Incel Boy is for every woman who’s been called a tease, a witch, a whore.
It’s for every survivor who’s still standing.
It’s for every girl who needs to know her fear is valid, and her “no” is enough.

It’s also for the men who are brave enough to listen — really listen — and start unlearning the poison they’ve been fed.

🎶 Release Day

Incel Boy comes out September 30, 2025 on all platforms.
I hope you’ll scream it with me, share it with your sisters, and play it loud enough that the walls shake.

This isn’t just a song. It’s a warning. It’s a protest. It’s survival turned into sound.

Thank you for listening. Thank you for standing with me.

Love,
Mathilde 🌹
